Acceptance of Terms

By using Contendr (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

Description of Service

Contendr is an iOS marketplace for raw trading cards. We provide AI-assisted grading estimates, listing tools, escrow, in-house authentication, and market data. Contendr is not a professional third-party grading company; our AI grade is an estimate to help buyers and sellers evaluate condition.

User Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• You may not use another person's account without permission.
• You must provide accurate and current information when registering.

Buying and Bidding

When you place a bid or make a purchase, you commit to pay if you win. Payments are processed through Apple Pay and our payment partners. All sales are subject to the card passing our in-house authentication before shipment.

Selling and Listings

Sellers must accurately describe cards and provide clear photos. Listings must pass AI grading before going live. Sellers ship sold cards to Contendr for authentication. You may not list counterfeit, stolen, or misrepresented items.

AI Grading

Contendr's AI grading provides estimated condition scores based on photos. These scores are not official grades from PSA, BGS, SGC, or any other third-party grading service. The AI grade is one tool to help buyers and sellers agree on condition; it does not guarantee a future grade from any third party.

Escrow and Authentication

Buyer funds are held in escrow until the card is authenticated and shipped. If a card fails authentication, the order is cancelled and the buyer is refunded. Contendr reserves the right to determine whether a card passes or fails authentication.

Payments and Payouts

Sellers receive payouts after a sale completes and authentication passes. Payouts require a connected Stripe account and verified bank details. Contendr may withhold payouts if fraud, disputes, or policy violations are suspected.

Prohibited Conduct

• No counterfeit, altered, or stolen cards.
• No harassment, abuse, or fraudulent behavior.
• No attempts to manipulate bids, prices, or reviews.
• No use of the App for illegal activity.

Intellectual Property

Contendr, its logo, and all content and software in the App are owned by Contendr or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App without our written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Contendr is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the transaction at issue, or fifty dollars if no transaction occurred.

Disputes and Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must first be addressed through our support team at support@contendr.ai. Unresolved disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration in Delaware.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in fraud, or otherwise harm the marketplace. You may delete your account at any time through the App or by contacting support.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service as the App evolves. We will notify users of material changes via the App or email. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
