How does AI grading work?
Take photos of your card through the Contendr app. Our AI measures centering, corners, edges, and surface to the hundredth and returns decimal subgrades. The AI grade is an estimate to help buyers and sellers agree on condition — it is not a replacement for a professional third-party slab.
What happens after I buy a card?
Your payment is held in escrow. The seller ships the card to Contendr for in-house authentication. Once the card passes inspection, it is sealed and shipped to you. If it does not pass, the order is cancelled and you are refunded.
How do I list a card for sale?
Open the Contendr app, search for your card in our catalog, add photos, and set your price or starting bid. The listing goes live after AI grading is complete — usually in minutes.
What cards can I buy or sell?
Contendr supports raw sports and Pokémon trading cards. We do not require slabs, but every listed card must pass our AI grading and in-house authentication before reaching the buyer.
How do refunds and disputes work?
Because cards are authenticated in-house before shipment, most issues are prevented at the source. If a card fails authentication, the buyer is refunded automatically. For other concerns, contact support@contendr.ai within 48 hours of delivery.
